Does anyone have a source for 1"x30" Sanding belts in individual sizes?
I use the 120 grit on my small belt sander to sharpen my Oland style cutters.
The only ones I can find are in an assorted pack of one each of 50,80,120 grits. I don't use 50 or 80 grit 1" belts, so I don't want to buy them.
All I want are 120 grit.:)
Anyone?
TIA

Allen, Lee Valley also has them. If you want them for sharpening, get the blue zirconia belts. Search Lee Valley's website under "Woodworking...Sharpening"

I agree on the blue zirconia belts. They cost about the same as alum oxide but when sanding metal will last at least 10 times as long. I have 1 x 42 sander and use it for all reshaping of tools where a lot of metal will be removed. Much, much better and faster and cooler than a grinding wheel. I use 60 grit for that.

Thanks, Everyone! I appreciate the help! Robby called me a while ago, and told me that he could maybe order them from his supplier, also... and Robby's right here in town.
I'll let you know if I got them...
It's such a pain, when all your "good-ole-places" start packaging things together that you don't need, just to save a penny. I'd pay the price, just want what I want, and don't want what I don't.
Thanks again, folks. Appreciated...
