Hi folks,

Having some trouble with residue build on my short focus lens while cutting plastics.

wondering if cleaning my lens repeatedly has damaged the coating on the lens making it easier for residue to collect.

Although it's possible to damage your lens while cleaning it, I doubt that frequent cleaning would cause the problems you are having. Are you using air assist? That is the best way to help reduce the amount of residue on your lens. Nothing will eliminate it, but air will help tremendously.

I don't think cleaning is the problem but air may be. It is possible to have more air than is necessary with this design which can cause blowback on the lens. You may want to contact tech support for advice on setting your air assist.

Hey guys thanks for the responses. My tech support is telling me to try setting my air assist to gas1. so I'll try that.

too much air?
