She's been wanting one; finally got around to it. Hickory (I have some boards laying around, making chairs/table). Laminated, obviously. About 5x3 or so; salad bowl finish.

That's cool. Hickory is a great wood choice for something like this.

Ooohhh. I like that. I made a pestle for the wife to mash up some stuff for the baby. Interesting in it's use as things tend to shoot across the kitchen at times. I think a mortal would be a nice addition to the mix. Your's look great. Thanks for the inspiration!
