I'm very envious. I don't know what I'd do with that much room!

Beautiful!

Great shop. Is that six inch schedule forty that you're using for dust collection? I really like the amount of space you have.

Thanks Larry. I take it you have concrete floors based on the radiant heat? Your building certainly is wel laid out. I'm curious about your bench, what species did you use, it looks like SYP, but I'm not sure. I just checked out some workbench books from the library today, along with a book on hand tools. I keep thinking, some day. Right now, I have my plate full completing a shop remodel. I enjoyed your shop tour.

Thanks! One of my favorite things is to look at peoples shops! I wish more people would do "tours"!

Nice shop. I had a feeling you were left handed from the miter saw setup. Only to be confrimed with your workbench comment. When I looked at the Pic after seeing the reference to the Worksmith Bench I said man those vises looked flipped.

Great shop! I'm also left-handed, and built one bench with everything flipped. I'm thinking about a second one now. Looks like you have a great set up, and almost enough room do whatever you want.

The floor is pier and beam. The pex tubing is attached to the sub floor with aluminum flasing type material. Then a layer of foil backed insulation. I installed it myself using materials and instruction from The Radiant Floor Company.
The bench is actually made of Ash. I actually started a SMC blog when I was making the bench, but I don't think I finished it (the blog)

Really nice. I can only dream. Reminds me of when a friend, who builds huge custom, very high end homes, took me out one day to check a couple out. I came home and kicked my house.

Great looking space. Those open areas seem dreamy when they are empty but they sure come in handy when you are building, eh? I am a big fan of planned open space in my shop (which would fit in the corner of yours) ;-) Thanks for all the pics.

Pete if you had seen the bills they pay to live there you would have given your house a hug :D
