clean my green deck? Are there any alternative methods of cleaning a wood deck that's covered with green mold? Any ideas much appreciated. Alan in Md.

Alan,
Find a cheap pump-up garden sprayer. Mix 1 part bleach to 3 parts water. Spray deck, let sit for a few minutes and rinse with water.
Just use the cheapest bleach that you can find at the grocery store. :)

Get a roll or two of duct tape and fix the pressure sprayer ;)

I'm leaning toward buying a new sprayer but may try chemical methods first. Thanks again.

Turn your house around so the deck gets some sun. :p

But Michael then my garage would face toward my pool and I'd be backing up into it. No I think this would solve one problem and create another. :) But I do hate a green deck. Maybe I'll consider that idea.

Build a new deck. If you are like most of us, when we redo something we do it better. We have learned and, hopefully, improved.

Plus, it is a good excuse for that new tool to do the job just right! :)

Try using Simple Green. I was amazed at how good it worked. Less work than dragging out the pressure washer.
