Drive Belt for a Planer

Few years back I was given a lunch box planer (Protech) for Fathers Day. it had been a effective one for my hobby, and now on Fathers Day the drive belt broke. I've called everywhere I know of and they can't help.

Can any one help in directing me to obtain a 6 ribbed belt about 4" in diameter.

I think he needs a small serpentine belt, Bill.

Try an auto parts store. Take the broken belt with you. I bet they can order one if it's not stocked. Look online for exploded views of Grizzly's lunchbox planer. They may have a very similar replacement.

Thanks ... Grizzly was helpful but did not have anything .. The Belt company from Louisiana had something, I'm giving them a try. If it works I am ahead of the game, if not I'll buy a new planer torn between a Steel City 13" or a Rigid.

I may have a used one of these I'll give you for free. Aren't there two belts on this type planer? Let me check when I get home today.
