I recently purchased a Craftsman 1.5hp bandsaw, I know it's a Craftsman, but wanted to get my feetwet before I pulled the trigger on a new unit and not a lot of used saws have been on the market here lately, I got it for 150.00.

Everything I have been reading says use a 93.5" blade, the manual states 91.5 to 93.5, when I called Suffolk this morning to order some new blades they recommended 92.5", does that sound right for the Craftsman 137.224140?

I guess it is a little late to ask now but I ordered a 3/16 4PC, 1/4 6PC, 1/4 10RK, and a 1/2 3AS, does this seem like a good basic assortment? Main uses will be cutting out carving blanks, and I am wanting to attempt a couple of bandsaw boxes. Thanks for the help!

Well it's right in the middle of the range suggested by the manual, so I'd say it is spot on :)

Blade choices look good.
If Suffolk says 92.5", then 92.5" it is. If they don't fit, they'll make good on them.
