Customs Duty /border charges

Does any one know what the duties and taxes would be for Grizzly machinery shipped to Canada? Specifically a 600$ Dust collector

Usually you're safe if you estimate 10%.

You saw the current grizzly promotion... they'll pay this amount?

I may be able to let you know what to expect in about a week, when my order arrives. Since BC taxes aren't harmonized "yet" you will probably pay only GST.

From my experience you will probably have to pay the GST (5% on the Canadian value of the purchase) and if you are in B.C. 7% Provincial sales tax-they collect it for the province. Under NAFTA there is no duty on product made in the US but because most Grizzly stuff is from the orient you MAY have to pay some duty. Depends on the customs official. However, this is probably being handled by a broker so I suspect some duty will be charged.
