I went to make some mortises and could find my hammer so I made a new one. This will replace a Harbor Freight dead blow for chisel wacking.
This is my first Neander build (mostly, still not sure what qualifies). I had the stock roughed out from another project and went from there. I had just got a set of Paring chisel I wanted to try out.
Over all it's abotu 12" long by 6" wide and 4" tall There is about a 1-2* taper to the handel and about 5* on the face. The handel is wild cherry and the head is QSWO with a slight curl.
I just wiped on some pate wax for a finish, I may go back and put something more on the handel but I might not too.
