What ever happened to the Paul Hamler scraper inserts? Are they totally gone? Any hope of them ever coming back?
After using a large scraper on curly maple last year and getting thrown around by its desire to change directions in the cut, I'm digging the idea of the hamler scraper insert in a longer plane that wouldn't be so eager to turn in the middle of the cut.
I see nothing about them being available anywhere, though.
I sold my veritas large scraper plane last week, because if tools are going to be short - i'll prefer them to be planes, I think.
