Hall table

I had alot of thick heavy white oak, so Im making a few pieces with it.
First one, is this hall table.
Used mahogany trim, spun the drawer handle, and made my first dovetail drawer. I used the extra maple flooring I had left over to make the drawer.And a piece of striped mahogany I ruined from the bedroom set, planed it down and it made a nice drawer front.
BlO, followed by one coat polyurethane for a glossy finish on top. Wife preferred the shine.

Hay, that's a great job. I like the color combinations. Looks very stout but still has an elegance to it.

thanx, was going for that butcher block kinda look, and it was an experiment. Im currently building a butcher block style pedestal dining table, same species woods.
