Here are a couple of pictures of a new planet I discovered. This planet is made from Maple Burl with some dye. This piece measures 21" at it's widest, 16" tall and the planet is @ 4 1/2 in diameter. Finished with WOP.

This could be considered artistic and functional. Planet frisbee anyone?

As a wood-turner and an astronomy buff, I think that is really cool. Great looking piece of art work.
