mystery wood pen

I turned this pen today using some kind of wood I found laying around...

I turned it down, sanded down to 600, while turning on lathe i put 2 coats of amber shelac on it, sanded with 600 again, 4 coats of blo and titebond ca thick glue and 2 coats of renaissance wax. Copper hardware.

That looks nice... the wood reminds me a bit of mango.

The soft focus makes it a little difficult to see the grain. I don't think I would have a clue even if I could see it clearly. It certainly makes a nice looking pen what ever it is.
