Hello All,
(caillou is a little stone in French)
Other way with a yew branch, two axis, hollowed per top
H 120mm
Have good turnings,
Lionel.
nota:
it's more convenient to blow shavings and dust when you have two holes. see Souflette

on the Yew4T,
http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=141679 , Dave MacArthur says:
Very nice. Now I want to see some small tea-cups ! Or you could re-characterize it and call it a Sake set
That's a good idea Dave. And I recharacterise my work in "Art Sake"
(I translate the joke Art sacré, Art for the church and so...)

Just amazing, excellent work. Is there a tutorial on how to do this anywhere? I'd love to try it myself someday.

Ditto on a tutorial:). The HF looks great but impossible to turn:eek:. Looks easier to carve then to turn. Must be some sort of offset turning.

After turning job there remain a lot of carving for the non turned wood (gouge, rasp, KingArthurTool, Kutzall...and in fine sandpaper on the thumb :D !)
Friendly, Lionel.
