I haven't heard of it but found it on the web.

I looks and sounds like a nice machine, it's pricey too. I don’t think I would hesitate if I were shopping and found a good deal on a used one.
If I were going to spend $1600 for a new machine I’d probably look for a better known name like PM or Delta.

Found it also at utterguys: http://www.utterguys.com/xcart/product.php?productid=35083&cat=627&page=1 for around 1300. It looks very similar to the older delta sanders like the model 31-710 and it SAYS its made in the USA, but whether that means made or just assembled I dont know. I agree with Bruce, I would look for one of the original delta machines or maybe one of the powermatic model 30 something machines if you want old arn. Only thing to keep in mind with those types of machines is that sanders in general are rode hard and put away wet, so they often need the most work to bring back up to snuff.

That looks like the Dayton that I bought used a few years ago and am looking to sell (too large for my shop, now sitting in the garage). I am not sure if mine has a Baldor motor though.

Thomas, I jut noticed that there's an optional dust collection shroud for the disc. In my opinion that is a "worth every penny" option. I put one on my Delta and it made a world if difference.

Yikes! I dug a little deeper..they want $192 for their dust shroud.
I paid around $30 for the Delta version.

That is the same sander as a Taiwan made Wilton. I bought one for my shop at work years ago. The tracking device was a piece of junk. I eventually sold it off cheap to get something better. I'd MUCH rather have a Grizzly than that model, which,by now,is probably made in China, and is even worse.

I don't see how Wilton keeps riding their name for big bucks. Is ANY of their stuff still made in USA?
