You SUUUCK! ;)
Great deal!

DOH! I got beat to the first back-slapping by being too slow on the mouse!
Just as well, I see you scored a WAY SWEET red kid's car there too--Well done, that shows real situational awareness to be sure to bring home something for everyone! ;)

That dust collector is a serious score.

I think everyone was scared of it. It was in a very small and dark room. Couldn't tell if the room had been built around it. In the end i had to leave the base for the cyclone. It was welded solid. It took about 2 hours to get it disassembled and loaded. I am happy. :D Way more collector than i will ever need.

I'd probably build a separate room for the DC - I bet it's amazingly loud. That being said you have an amazing deal there. $2? Really?

That dust collector might be a bad deal if you have cats. Aget is still in business in Adrian, MI. $2 is amazing. There must not have been any scrap dealers at the auction.

You should put a camera on your power meter for when you kick that on too. I wonder if the dials will still be legible.....

He'll be fine. He had his electrician out yesterday to wire it up.

I do plan on a separate room. I have a 96 x 54 x 16 pole barn that is yet to be finished.

$2 is the actual amount for the machine. I do have $8 in it if you count beverages for my removal crew.

Anyone have any ideas for make up air for this dust collector. Should i run some duct to each machine from outside, return the exhaust through a baffeled chase, or open a window? At 5000cfm it will change the air in the shop about once every ten minutes i would hate to heat all that fresh air

..... you have all the intakes open and all the exterior doors and windows closed when you start that thing, will it create a perfect vacuum in the barn and you'll implode....You win the prize for best score. Thanks for gloating us.

If you don't return the air you will empty your heat in about 3 minutes flat come winter. It will take some serious filters but I bet you can rig something up from stock parts.

Maybe a call to one of the big suppliers would be in order.

I have a cyclone (much smaller than that ) and I return the air so I don't lose heat.
