Planer Knives

I am going to buy some planer knives for my DW735 and Jet 15". I was looking at the ones by Infinity Tools. They run $79.90 and $71.90.

Anyone have an experience with these knives?

I would search Amazon using the size of the knives, not the model. Unless they are custom made for that planer, they should be availabe. I'm not sure of the Jet ones but 71 bucks for 13 inch knives seems a little extreme.

Whatever knives you buy, discern if they are *solid* high-speed steel, or *laminated* with a thin strip of HSS brazed to the edge of a softer steel body. IMO, *solid* is just better. Some may find no objection to laminated, but for big bucks, a guy should get all he pays for.

Larry: While I haven't used the Infinity planer blades I do use their saw blades and router bits and am very pleased with their performance. I too have a DW735 and am looking at the Infinity planer blades when it comes time to replace the originals.
