Is it possible to order Ridgid parts (for their oscillating belt sander) at a Home Depot, and avoid the $10 to $15 shipping charges the mail order places charge?

Phil,

I don't know what their current policy is but I was told several years ago at my local HD that I had to go directly to Ridgid.

I had a part missing from a CMS purchased at HoPo. The guy in the tool dept. took one off a display model.
I would look for a service center.

I think it would be just as easy to order the parts you need from Ridgid. That way you only one one person to deal with and not 2 and they come right to the door.

My experience with the borgs is that they love to sell tools but not so much with parts. Consumable items, yes, but don't look for optional items or parts. They only come with the tool.

I recently purchased a used rigid spindle sander and discovered it was missing a critical $2.50 part. Rigid wanted about 8 bucks for shipping so I went to the local HD store with the part# etc and they ordered it for me. I had to pay "at time of ordering " but there was no shipping charge! Wonderful!!!
