I have been turning some bottle stoppers this fall to sell and to give as gifts. I have attached a photo of several of them. These things are super easy to make and look great. The wood I used is, from left to right, cherry, 2 black locust, osage orange burl, 2 walnut, and 2 oak. I purchased the stoppers and chuck from Craft Supplies.

Thanks for looking

Very pretty, Keith. I like the osage orange burl. I have never turned any osage orange, what is it like?

Hi Mike, this was my first try at turning osage orange. I just cut a small chunk off a larger piece of burl I have. It turned quite nicely while green. I've heard that it is quite hard when dry, although I have no experience.
