Here is part of a photo essay I made for our local turning club (Souteastern Ohio Woodturners). I know there is no new ideas here, just a big beautiful chunk of curly soft maple. There is more explanation on the photos. I enjoy making the blanks as much as finish turning. I hope you like the photos.

Thomas, since you have already had all the enjoyment of roughing/coring those blanks, go ahead and ship them to me and let me see if I can have as much fun finishing them out!!:D

That is a good looking blank and lots of rough outs.

what kind of lathe is that. I like the color and the outrigger system.
