Any one know a good source for dado blades that fit on a 1" arbor?

Forrest will hook you right up, though I tend to be a Freud guy I haven't yet used a dado that beats the King, I think they charge $35 for a non-standard bore. I assume you aren't looking for a 10" or larger set as those usually come bored to fit a 1" arbor. If you are looking for something with a less...umm..premium price I don't know anything off hand but I am sure they exists. Some sharpening services will bore blades but may not be cost effective on a stacked dado.

yeah, i have an old RAS with an odd bore size (3/4), for opening up a single blade, i can get the local machine shop to do that for about 50 bucks. for a whole set of dado blades, though, it's not really cost effective, better off just buying a whole set from a saw blade maker that's the proper size to start with.

Wow, $50 is expensive I think my old blade guy charged about $15.

FS Tools, I recently had some blades bored to 30mm and they charged about $12 per blade to do that.

Ridge Carbide recently introduced their 12" blade with a 1" arbor for table saws. I bought one for my MM slider and it's a really nice blade.

Does the 1" arbor dado from Grizzly give any one pause for concern? I'll be using it on mostly pine lumber and birch plywood.

The price point sold me $79.99

I'll invest in the Forrest dado King when I get into my high end jobs. I do run a Forrest WW2 for my standard blade.

.

In a word, yes. When you are talking plywood I want a high quality dado set to prevent tear-out. But it is more than a 1/3 the price of a DK. I would spend some time looking at the mid-level stuff to see if you have an alternative.
