I was given several pieces of exotic wood that I need to identify. The first photo shows what I think may be Cocobolo. Its density calculates out to 60 lbs/ft cu. The second photo is the same wood but with a piece of known Cocobolo to the left of the brass gauge bar.
The third photo has a piece of known Rosewood to the left of the brass bar and the unknown wood to the right. I believe the unknown is some species of Rosewood. Its density calculates to 58 lbs/ft cu.
The forth photo is, I believe, Padauk. It is more orange colored than shows in the photo.
