Finishing advice needed

Here is my current project. It is a cargo shelf for my friend's PT Cruiser. It is made from ash and walnut burl. So far it has three coats of General Finish's Outdoor Oil. I am not sure what to do next... I am thinking of a couple coats of a satin wipe-on poly followed by some Watco satin wax. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Yes. Maybe two coats of poly, then wax sounds fine.
