Had a Dr. Appointment today. I've had a lump on my neck that has developed over the last few months. The Dr. decided that this needs an Ultra Sound and some blood work. So, it might be nothing, could be more serious. So, if you are the praying sort, I'd appreciate it.

Jon,

Good luck/prayer sent.

I've had a lump about the size of a peach pit on my neck for nearly 30 years.

It seems to bother just about everybody - except me.

It bothers me just to think about it. Maybe it's an evil unborn twin waiting for just the right moment.....

That reminds me.... I think I'll watch Alien tonight. Haven't seen it in a while.

Jon, in all probability, it is nothing serious, but my prayers are with you. Let us know the outcome.

Praying for the best of all possible outcomes. I know the worry, LOML had a biopsy Wed. About another week to hear. Jim.

Jon,
I would almost bet that far more "lumps"/"masses" (I hate that word) are benign than milignant.
In the last 15 years I have had 2 similar causes for concern; 1) a golf ball size benign mass on my thyroid, and 2) a mass on my kidney which turned out to be a cyst (tennis ball size).
In both cases the end result was good, but I do believe in the power of prayer and have you on my list.

Jon,

You will be in our thoughts and prayers! We will pray for Peace for you, (know how difficult the waiting is before, and then of course after tests)!

Sincerely,
Phyllis:)

LOL!
Great minds.....
That's what I tell people that ask about the lump - that it's my evil undeveloped twin ;).

Prayer sent. Let us know the test results. I'm betting on benign.

That's like no fun, Jon. I hope that it's something simple to deal with. Thoughts are there...

Thanks everyone. I've been saying, "It is what it is." I've also decided... along time ago that why wait to see what it is.... and then pray... start praying now.

My thoughts are with you. I've had a couple hunks cut out of me, benign but bothersome. I'm hoping for good results for you.

Thoughts and prayers to you.

Just a side note. I had a lump come up relatively quickly once over about 6 months. I have a had a doctor that likes to error on the side of caution and often lets you know that he suspect the worst... But that time he said. It was likely to be a non-serious issue as the lump came up in such a relatively quick time that ruled out cancer. I'm guessing cancer takes more than a few months to develop...

Update: Just got the test results and there is no mass! Most likely will be put on an antibiotic because of some kind of infection in the lymph-node.

Thank you all for your prayers!
