Picked up a used DW735 today! Sure, its not anything out of the ordinary but its my first planer and I'm stoked. Now, to just rig up something for the chip ejector to spew into...

Excellent planer, you will have fun with it.

BTW don't forget the pcs, since "no pics, didn't happen" :D

Here we go. Until I own a DC, the shop vac hooks right up.

Nice planer Bobby. I still have mine in the corner, good machine. Mine gets little use since I added a floor model. But I found that the dust bag that cinches over a garbage can is a good investment. I put it over a metal garbage can and it worked great. I found the shop vac filled up way too quick to handle the chips from a planer, and dewalt's chip ejector works well on its own.

I use my shop vac all the time with mine...about 3-5 passes (depending on thickness) and it's full! It's only a 6 gallon. But works good.

Good advice, guys. I'll have to probably invest in the bag eventually. My shop vac is only a 6 gallon. Or I can make a lid for the trash can that the shop vac mounts on. Maybe the best of both worlds? Or overkill? Me thinks either way is fine.
