I am in the process of redoing my kitchen cabinets. First of all, let me say THANK YOU VERY MUCH to everyone all the great information on this site. It has made it an enjoyable experience to say the least.

My wife and I purchased 2.5 years ago a 1931 Craftsman home (Has the Sears and Roebuck plaque in the basement). The idiots who lived there previously removed the original cabinets and installed cheap plywood and plain front cabinets. We want to go back to the original look and have decided to go with a shaker style cabinet which I am building atm.

I am staining my red oak cabinets very dark using MinWax Red Mahogany stain. I've gotten over the issue of the red dye "blotching" in the red mahogany stain (no easy task btw...) and the cabinets look great and wife loves the way the stain looks. I am now trying to decide on hardware and have decided to make the knobs wood and buy full inset hinges to attach the face frames to the doors.

Where can a guy find a simple butt or full inset hinge that will fulfill my needs at a decent price. I have found some copper ones for $.89 each that are 2 1/2 inch but I think I'd rather have nickle as the wood is pretty dark at this point or possibly go all black making it a bit darker. Anyone know of a decent store to buy a non fancy hinge that will fulfill my needs??

I get most of my cabinet hardware at www.wwhardware.com (http://www.wwhardware.com).

wwhardware.com is my first source. If they don't have quite what I want, http://www.hardwaresource.com/ has a lot of hinges.
