Swingline stapler

I have a swingline stapler 1000 and would like to find staples for it. Swingline referred me to another site and they want $18+ for a minimal amount of staples! I am considering tossing this stapler and buying another if I cannot find a more reasonable price for these staples. Any other suggestions?

I'm not familiar with a Swingline 1000, but according to this advertisement (http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00973865000P), Stanley (1000) 5/16 in. Light Duty Staples (Fit Swingline Staplers)

I have both Stanley and Swingline and the staples are interchangeable. I don't have any problems finding staples. They don't interchange with Bostitch or Arrow.
