Finally finished a bowl and a photo box! Here's what I came up with:)

Love it Harvey...but I'm partial to anything with spalted lumber.

Looks very good, with nice weight and proportion. Did you buff also, or just the raw finish?

Very nice Harvey. Gotta love that spalted wood of any kind.

Thanks for looking, Tim.

I applied Watco Danish and let the wood soak it all up. Then buffed with the Don Pencil buffing system after about two weeks, except I used Ren wax instead of carnuba. the walls are 3/16 inches. Really enjoyed making it!

Great looking bowl Harvey. Simple form, but it would be a shame to detract from such a nice looking piece of wood with a more unconventional shape.

Wow - now that's a bowl! Love the classic form as well as the spalted Elm! Very nice work!

Great looking photo as well!

Sweet. I love the simplicity of the form. And I envy you your photo box. I need to work on my photo skills along with my lathe work. Any chance of posting some pics of that?

Here's a picture of the box, David. For the life of me, I can't remember where I got the plans but very simple. Just 1/2 inch PVC.

The background is available from phototechinc.com and the one I ordered was the 31 X 43 #39 (thank you, Mr. Keeton!)

Hope this all helps!
