Here are two night stands I finished up this weekend. They were made to match two dressers, a headboard and a quilt hanger that I already made for my daughter and her husband. These nightstands, and the rest of the pieces, are an original design of mine. They are made of red oak, finished natural color with Deft Semi gloss clear wood finish. The drawers are inset, with poplar dovetailed drawer boxes. The raised drawer panels were done on my table saw. The shelf is adjustable.

As you would expect, making two of something isn't a lot more work than making one.

Lee.....I like the raised panels on the drawers and the fluting! Good design and execution!

Lee -

Great job! Nice, simple design that is very well proportioned. And since Dad made them, they all that much more special.

Ted

Lee,

Really nice tables. I need to make some of those for my kids.

Two may not be that much harder than 1, but it is if you have to color-match other furniture. I built two nightables for my bedroom. The biggest challenge was trying to match the color of the bedframe. I wouldn't want to have to do it again.
