I may be repeating known information but . . .
After searching and trying to get a definitive answer as to whether or not the Jet 1238 hand wheel fits the HF clone I decided to take a chance and I ordered one. Well I’m happy to report that it does fit.
So for anyone else who has the HF 34706 and wants a hand wheel here’s the order info:
Jet (WMH) customer service center:
Phone: 800 274-6848
Tech service: 800 274-6846
Part # WMH-708344
Price with standard shipping to my address $21.81
I believe that Jerry Allen first posted this contact info so thanks Jerry!

It will but you can't use the knockout rod. There's no hole for it. Or at least the one I have doesn't.

Don't know for sure, but it should be easy to drill out the center of the handwheel so you can use the knockout rod.

True and I think I may drill it out. I believe if I maintain just enough clearance for the rod, there is enough material to do this.
Meanwhile I’m thinking of making a thin UHMW washer to ensure that the wheel doesn’t get jammed on too tight. Does this make sense?

Just curious, your post topic calls the HF lathe a 34707, which you correct in the post... Could you double check part # to make sure it's right for the 34706?
On the knockout bar issue. What do owners of the JWL1236 do?

Sorry David - I'm famous for my mistyping skills.
It is a 34706 - Harbor freight's 12" lathe

I can confirm that this number still works and the part is still available, but the price increased to $50.

The price on Amazon is listed as $143.18 as of today. Jet lists it as $86.20 but the picture is inconclusive. It just shows the wheel but not the connecting threaded side.
