Lidded Maple Box

I got this piece of spalted and figured maple from a friend who does not turn small stuff. I rough turned it last June so it could dry and then I finish turned it a few days ago. It is finished with a coat of Tung Oil over Mylands friction finish. After turning I waited 24 hours before fine tuning the lid fit. Comments or critiques welcome.

Nice work, and probably a good plan on waiting a bit before final fitting of the lid. I am getting better at doing that, but still have some movement at times.

David, it is not an orginal design. Just about all of my work is based on other work I have seen.

Steve, it is 3" in diameter and 2.75" tall.
