Hey everyone,
I'm looking for a good source for stainless steel stand offs like these:

But at over $8 for the smallest one, they're a bit outside the cost effective range lol. Does anyone know where i could order these in bulk?

Page 104 on the online catalog for outwater plastics. outwater.com will get you there.

PERFECT! thanks a ton. Actually, I should thank you twice. I've been looking for these but couldn't figure out what they were called and saw your other post about the sign where you referenced them. Killer work by the way, very cool stuff.

I ordered some 8" stand-offs here: http://www.standoffsystems.com/catalog/home.php

They were expensive at the time but I think they said they were dropping prices. They were also very helpful when I had a special project and no idea what I needed.

Wasn't Rowmark supposed to be doing budget-friendly stand-offs? I thought I came across a notice about this either directly through Rowmark or through Johnson Plastics a while back...

I wonder when the budget friendly stand-off will be available, didn't see anything listed @ JP website when I logged in & looked @ all available stand-offs...

Help me learn here folks; so are these used similar as a pin table or then what? Why do you need to pay $8 for a standoff pin?

No, nothing to do with pin tables - they are used for mounting signs. Take a look here:

Right right, sign mounting was all I needed to hear to get the correct image. The next image in my homebrew mind are pc motherboard standoffs. Does anybody ever use dowels for this purpose? Could be coated with metallic paint.
