Have any of you seen this? Incredible ability to use his foot for tool control. He does the entire spindle turning with just a skew!

This is one of my favorites. I don't remember his skew technique from my Lacer DVD:D

He seems to be off by about 0.002" there. Must be the chisel. I wonder if he uses P1000 PSA Aluminum Oxide Abrasive for his Work Sharp WS3000, or some kind of generic stuff. ;)

Did you notice he's turning on one of the first variable speed lathes?

It is pretty incredible! He's quite talented.

somebody should send this to Brian Novotny. Looks like nothing can go wrong with this lathe, simple as it gets.

This gives a new meaning to the word "ambidextrous"!

And man! After 5 minutes crouched over like that, my back would be screamin!

Yeah, my back hurts just looking at that.

Amazing video...kinda depressing to watch a guy turn better with his foot than I do with both hands.

Perhaps I should switch to his technique...or practice more :)

This guy is crazy - he doesn't wear eye protection nor a dust mask! :)

I wonder what kind of steel he's using? You notice he uses the skew for everything, but you never see him sharpen? He also doesn't cut his beads in steps - just shears them in one big chip... Could be the fast speeds we're using wear out the edge too quickly.
