If you win the Stinger Drawing you can add/upgrade to the CNC lathe at a reasonable price.

Most of you know that we are giving away a CAMaster Stinger table top CNC Router on July 4th as a drawing prize. The new Stinger is an incredible machine so we asked Joey and Paul at CAMaster if they would put together a discount price for the Members of SawMill Creek and they agreed. The discounts that will be offered are based on the number of machines ordered. We already have eight people who have expressed an interest in the discount so it is pretty safe that we will go way beyond ten machines. Obviously we would all love to see more than 50 machines ordered so we can all save 500 bucks.

Features are:
- 25” x 36” x 5” Cutting Area
- Bosch PR20EVSK Colt Variable-speed Router
- Standard 3 axis High Definition Microstep Drive System
- Rack & Pinion on all Axes
- Sealed MDF Tabletop
- Hiwin Bearings And Rails On All Axes
- Dust Hood
- E-Stop
- Limit Switches On All Axes With Soft Limits
- Welded Frame
- Cut 2D Design Program
- Mach 3 Windows PC-Based CNC Control System

Upgrades are:
- T Slot Clamping System
- Aluminum Tooling Plate
- Mini Recoil Indexing CNC Lathe
- Porter Cable 2.25HP Router
- Windows XP Computer & Monitor
- V Carve Pro Design and Toolpathing Software
- Aspire Design and Toolpathing Software

The base price of the new Stinger is $5,495.00

Group Order Discounts
10+ machines $250.00
25+ machines $350.00
50+ machines $500.00

20% down to hold spot in production. (non-refundable)

This offer ends July 31, 2010

If you order a Stinger and subsequently win the drawing on the 4th of July your money will be refunded. This allows you to get in the production schedule now and not have to wait until after the 4th of July to see if you won the machine.

Pictures of this machine will be provided tomorrow, we can't post them yet because the unveiling is scheduled to happen at Jim McGrew's Aspire Gathering in Columbia South Carolina Friday and Saturday.

Hmmm, time to start shuffling some money around... do you think Amy would mind if I put off the wedding a couple of months? :D

Keith,

I am planning to order one this week once Joey gets back to me with some details. I am interested in the spindle option noted on the website, in particular. Let me know if I can help in any way and whether I should wait and be part of a group order to help everyone get a discount.

Anyone interested in the Stinger with the CNC Lathe attachment?

Table legs with rope turns and custom flutes would interest me if I was a Turner.

Yes, the CNC Lathe attachment would be very interesting. Does anyone know what are the stats for the CNC lathe -- swing, length between centers, number of index points, spiral pitch, etc.? I'd find such information important before making a purchase decision.

Note 1: I've been saving my pennies for a Legacy Ornamental Mill. The Stinger looks like it might offer more bang for the buck.

Note 2: Although I've been saving my pennies, I'm not going to be ready to buy this year. So, no one need go to a lot of trouble answering my questions for my benefit.

David,

Joey Jarrard is on vacation. He should be back at work on Monday morning and I expect that he will be able to provide the stats on the Recoil lathe.

I have decided to order a 36" by 48" Stinger, I am almost sure that I will add the 48" Recoil lathe to my new machine. I am waiting until Monday morning when Joey gets back to place an order. I found lots of You Tube videos of CAMaster Routers with lathe attachments, I'm impressed so far.
