Aerobic Septic System Chlorine Tablets

I bought 10 lbs of chlorine tablets for use in my septic system. Paid $60 for 32 tablets. Anyone have cheaper source?

Don't know anything about a source for these tablets, but I do have a question. Why would you put chlorine in a septic system? Wouldn't this kill the bacteria that are supposed to digest the waste?

In aerobic systems, the Chlorine is used to treat the stuff coming out of the tank to make sure it is all dead, commonly they use swimming pool Chlorine tablets. I think they also use Calcium Hypochlorite as a preferred chemical.

Yes, we have a pool also, so have to maintain two different chlorine tablets supplies.
