Yesterday I was sitting at my desk in my office (I'm in Madison NJ) & looking out the window at my backyard. I saw the smallest fawn I've ever seen, it could barely walk, I'd guess it was only hours old. It was alone for about 1/2 hour,I was concerned & called the local animal rescue team who told me to leave it alone & the mother would return shortly. A few minutes later the mother returned & the fawn proceeded to have what might have been its first meal. I watched them for about an hour & they then left the yard. Today I went out to the yard to get my lawnmower out of the shed & who is there but the mother & the fawn! Certainly I can't disturb them by cutting the lawn. Anybody ever have a better excuse for not cutting the lawn?
