I have an old sheet metal shelving unit where the edges of each shelf are supported by 3/4 in. tabs punched out along the sides. I'd like to use wood shelves to replace the missing sheet metal ones, but can't find the right kind of bracket. Something like this, which would screw to the edges of the shelf (two on each short side) would be ideal -- but, I can't find them. Does anyone have a source?

The only thing manufactured that comes to mind is picture hangers.http://govart.com/hardware_sawtooth_A.html You could turn the saw tooth edge up but that may not be necessary.

That looks like half of this: http://wwhardware.com/catalog.cfm/GroupID/Fasteners%20%26%20Screws/CatID/Fasteners/SubCatID/Interlocking%20Flushmounts

Make your own? Couldn't be simpler with sheet metal and a vise. Drill holes and attach with long screws.
