I have been getting jobs that require me to roundover a edge on large forms. the biggest was almost 80x80. I have to stretch to get it all. I have a dewalt plunge router and I really have a hard time keeping it flat. any idea's? I was thinking a bigger base but not sure if that will be enough. some of these I can't do on my cnc as they are several pieces joined together or have a tapered edge.

See Pat Warner's site about an offset base.

I've got a couple of Pat's bases as well. A real class act.

I can easily make one. I don't need it to have a lip for a guide bushing. but I am wondering if I should just change over to my pc industrial trim router with a added base. it's a lot nosier and no dc hookup.

how about this.

I made an arched jamb and made the stucco mold integral to the jamb to save me from having to bend another piece. That meant routing on edge, a tippy operation if there is one.

that may not be a bad idea of I made it adjustable. though three of them I did did not have a base.

I'm not understanding that.
