Just picked up a Sorby Micro Spiraling tool and made a few doo dads. I think a little more practice and some imagination the possibilities are endless. Now if I could just get the big one.

Glenn:

That really adds some nice detail. I have never used one, how does it work?

Thanks for sharing.

Glenn, that is slick!! I really like the effect on the oak bowl, and I am shocked at the clean cuts! Really nice!

Now that is just to cool. That does leave really nice crisp detail. Been wanting both the big and little. Oh well guess I will have to break down and just do it.:D

Looks pretty slick. This may have to go on my tool want list. Man that list is getting long.

Very nice effect. I'm amazed at the crispness of the detail in the oak. That goes on the wish list(which is currently much longer than my 'have' list).

Glenn, nice gloat. You are one of the few here (along with me) who have shown they have the Sorby micro tools. Really nice work with it - I have the large one, will be showing a Mother's Day bowl I decorated with it, soon. The one you have looks like a worthwhile investment.

Greg,

This little thing is pretty clever but instead a trying to explain it just check out the video. In this case a picture really is worth a thousand words. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUq46P0kJ6c

The big one would be really nice also as it looks like there are more cutters for it. Before I fork over the dough for it im going to try to make one myself. I found this link also but having a little trouble finding just the cutters. http://www.woodcentral.com/articles/turning/articles_394.shtml

I always kinda wondered if that was worth the price. It just might me... if I can get a few other things on my list first.

I ordered one last week after seeing the video on youtube. I'm glad to see you're getting the same kind of results they show - and better. Gonna pick it up tomorrow and then disappear into the workshop until . . .

Glenn:

Thanks for pointing out the videos. I watched a number of them and it is amazing the details one can add.
