This weekend I was able to have the winning bid at a local estate auction on a pile of wood. I've missed some of these deals before, this time it was my turn. The pile turned out to be Cherry, Walnut, Oak, Elm, Eastern Red Cedar, Pine and some construction lumber. All this for $200!:D
Of course the proof is in the picture.

Very nice, man all for only $200 dollars, what grade are the boards though? Select? #1 Common?

Looks good Dan! I am a little Green with envy! Check out that board in the lower right corner of the truck, it's got a wee bit of twist at the end. It must have been made "fer buildin round corners!" :eek:

That's the famous but common "Bananawood" I think.:D

I did have one twisted oak board. I'm thinking of using it for a curved railing, for what I don't know.
