Anyone have a source of good exzmples of spindle work/projects etc. I would like to make some candle sticks and such and want to try and add some coves and beads and such but would like to preview a book or something to give me some ideas on all the different ways you can arrange spindle shapes.

There is a book entitled "Shapes For Woodworkers" by David Weldon. Your local library either has it or can get it for you. Happy turning

Google "woodturning course 1919 preface". There are many examples of spindle turnings under contents.

There's an old book titled "Woodturning for Cabinetmakers" by Michael Dunbar that discusses spindle design. I've found it helpful. You can pick up used copies cheap off Amazon ($5.21).
