These bowls are Hickory,Mimosa, and (I think) Mulbury.I made another one from a Cherry crotch but I have it soaking in DNA.It's going to be nice when all my bowls start drying.I will be busy for a long time.

looking good! Soon you will have to build a shelf to hold the rough-outs.

Looking good Donny. I am working on getting my rough outs built up so I can go back and forth from green to dry.

Looking good! I am starting to build up a collection as well. I am just air drying mine so will have quite a collection after a year. Not sure if I will have the neccessary degree of ambition to finish turn and sand all of them.:)

Bernie, how many rough outs do you usually have on hand at a given time?

Looks good man. Love to see those chips flying. I thank you for the load of wood you gave Brian Watts. We scavenge for wood together and share what we find. Again thanks and keep turning.

Donny,

These are some nice looking rough outs! I used to make them just like yours, but after getting what I thought was good advice here on the "creek", I now round over the sharp edges on the rim, and have found that they are less likely to crack than when I left them sharp. Just a thought, YMMV.

The guy that taught me to turn told me to kindly round the edges to prevent cracking and so far it has worked.
