Something different

I am not sure what to call this thing, plan to set it near a recliner to hold the remote. The bowl is pecan, the worm holes were filled with turquoise colored inlace. The legs are walnut. The band and leg brace is mild steel. 15" diameter X 22" tall.

Looks like a wash basin - very well done, kind of rustic, yet finished out very nice. I like it!! Probably would find a more prominent spot than holding the remote.
