I'm trying to replace the blade on my 12"delta band saw and when I put the blade on and put tension on the blade and turn the wheel by hand the blade pops off the top wheel. I tried to adjust the travel so the blade was in the middle of the tire to no avail, still pops off the wheel. What am I doing wrong? am I putting too much tension on the blade? I'm frustrated:mad::mad::mad: and at the end of my knowledge, help:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Hi Greg, unplug the saw and move all the blade guides away from the blade.

Put the blade on the saw, with light tension.

Spin the wheel by hand to allow the blade to track.

Adjust the tracking knob if required to center the blade on the wheel.

Check the blade tension, don't over tension it.

Now set your guides so that a piece of newspaper fits between them and the blade.

Spin the wheel by hand again to make sure everything is OK.

Enjoy.............Rod.
