So I have a sawstop contractor saw with the 36" fence and just the regular old stamped steel wings. Is there anyone else with this setup? Perhaps I have something adjusted wrong, dont think so though, but it seems pretty stupid that when you slide the fence over the stamped steel wing, the glide pad on the back of the saw drops into the depression in the stamped wing and causes the fence to drag. I dont see how this can be adjusted out of the fence? Has anyone else noticed this? I assume the solution is to just add another glide pad to the fence that actually stays on the further back part of the table? But it seems stupid to have to add something.

Thanks,
Brian

I got the cast iron wings and have had no problems at all.

Thinking about using the stamped wings to extend the left side of the saw.

That does sound odd. Is it possible the glide pad can be moved back to ride on the smooth part of the wing?
