"I am sure I left that thread around here somewhere..." about a month ago (I think) I asked a question on Grizz discounts. I just called them and was going to update the thread with the conversation, but it is totally gone... do some threads get purged?

Which area was it posted in? I think the deals & discounts area gets purged of old threads every once in a while.

Brian is right - the Deals & Discounts Forum gets cleaned up all the time because most deals have a short life span. If a thread goes for a month with no additional comments - it also gets deleted just to keep things manageable.
