I have a 13" craftsman pro planer that I got off Cl for $125 still sealed in original box. It runs fine and I made sure the infeed /outfeed tables were level to the planer.
When I ran a test piece through and looked at it the surface was wavy with high and low spots. What did I do wrong? Is it the blades:confused::confused::confused::confused::con fused::confused:

I don't have that brand so I'm totally sure but you may have to reset the planer knives.

+1. Your knives aren't at the same level.
If it has 2 speeds, try the slower one.

Are the high and low spots all the way across the board, about a 1/16 - 1/8 inch apart? if so, thats normal, to get the board perfectly smooth you will have to sand it.

Snipe at the board ends? MAYBE! Washboarding the length of the board? NO!

As said, run your planer at its lowest feed speed. Check the height of the knives in the cutterhead and learn how to adjust them perfectly. Plenty of info in previous threads here. Just search.
