Sorry ... after looking at the box for awhile ... I decided I didn't like the plain lid, so I turned one a little fancier and taller. The box is three inches tall and two inches in diameter. Thanks for looking.

I appeciate the comments. I haven't been turning long and realize I have a long way to go to get as good as some of you folks, but it sure is fun to do. I roll the Shopsmith outside and turn outdoors. Today was 80 degrees and sunny, with a cool breeze blowing. It was great! I can't wait until I get my shop built next spring and can work comfortably all year round. If SWMBO likes the small box, she is welcome to only use the top knob to put her ring on. Sometimes you have to let them have their way, you know. Thanks again for looking.
