Several years before I closed shop a couple from New york called to say they had six chairs with Danish cord seats that needed to be replaced and they couldn't find anyone who could do them. I agreed to do them for a set price and they sent three of the chairs and kept three to use while I corded the other three. I finished the three, sent them back and received a check for the work done. Never got the other three. Thought maybe they didn't like my work. When I closed shop I gave the remaining Danish cord to the gal I trained. Two weeks ago I got a phone call from the couple wanting to send the other three chairs. Seems they got involved in a move and other things and just never got the chairs sent. Anyway my gal still had the material and I have the seats nearly done. Here is a pic. Pretty simple job and doesn't take long, but I won't get rich doing them.

For simple, it's real nice-looking. But I guess sometimes that's the way it works.

Hard to find the craft masters to do such fine work. I'm honored to know you if only over the net.

Thanks for sharing.
