I'm looking to purchase a couple of sets of jaws for grabbing larger spigots.I have a stronghold and a talon chuck so from personal experience can anybody recommend any particular vendor that has some decent prices.

I have a vase in the lathe between centers and I'm waiting for a new motor to arrive from Jet so I'm dead in the water, but as soon as it gets here I need to get going on it.The vase has a 3.6 inch spigot and I'm starting some platters that will be in the 5 inch area so what are my options as tested by some experienced turners.Thanx in advance,
Greg

I haven't found a very significant variation in jaw prices among the common suppliers. Somewhere like Craft Supplies or Hartville Tool is about as good as anything. Sometimes you can find sales that can help a lot. Since you have a Stronghold, you might want to take a look at the #5 and #6 jaws for your platters.
